Dr. Paneez Khoury is an investigator and a nationally known expert on eosinophilic disorders in the National Institute of Allergic and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at the NIH. She received her M.D. from University of Illinois followed by an Internal Medicine residency at the Ohio State University and a fellowship in Allergy & Clinical Immunology at the NIH. She has a Masters of Health Sciences from Duke University and has been involved in clinical and translational research in eosinophilic disorders in the Human Eosinophil Section of the NIH. She is an active member and a fellow of the AAAAI and is a Board Member of the International Eosinophil Society.
Her research interests are in eosinophilic conditions including hypereosinophilic syndromes (HES), eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA), eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders (EGIDs), and development of patient-centered outcome and quality-of-life instruments for patients with HES. In addition to serving as an investigator on both investigational clinical trials and natural history clinical studies for these disorders, she spends her time training and mentoring Allergy/Immunology fellows and is an active member of the A/I fellowship training program.
